When the Delgados played an open air gig at the Kelvingrove Bandstand on 12 August 2023, the heavens opened, giving an eery glow to the occasion. Here we imagine four of their songs sung over rain related tunes, including The Beatles (“Rain”), The Temptations (“I Wish It Would Rain”), Eurythmics (“Here Comes The Rain Again”) and, fittingly, Travis (“Why Does It Always Rain On Me”) – “Some day a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the streets.”
