New
Friend (Flansburgh/Linnell/Mackay) by
They Might Be Gannets
I
found a new friend underneath my pillow
He's small and hardly says a word
He seems to be a shy, retiring fellow
Egyptian cotton is his world
He
says he's a little bit shy of me
Now
when it's time to rearrange the linen
I'm very careful how I fold
I try to soothe him, singing like Bob Dylan
But that just seems to leave him cold
